down to “contemporary” when in reality he’s studied multiple types, like popping and locking, plus martial arts. many armys genuinely don’t believe he’s a good vocalist and doubt him when in reality jm was chosen to be lead vocalist without any vocal lessons. the raw, natural+

talent it takes to do that?? over the years he’s carried some of the most difficult parts of bts songs... take for example the bridge of blood sweat & tears or the triple high note in heartbeat. he is an extremely talented vocalist but i’ve seen armys degrade him so much

another thing armys do is either ot7ify or ignore/dismiss his achievements. an example ot7ifying: jm received a plaque for his fan dance. armys try to say it belongs to all of bts when jm was the only one who did a fan dance. and example of dismissing: his record at #1 of brand+

rep for almost two years now. a few months(?) ago armys tried to say it was manipulated and unreliable over the words of an AKGAE. they said it’s irrelevant and we should boycott it. why are jm’s achievements always somehow “lesser” in this fandom’s eyes?? or is it jealousy?

another thing is that no one talks about his musical achievements. literally no one? filter is the most successful most7 on melon and genie, it’s the most streamed korean solo of 2020 on spotify, it charted #87 on hot 100, it’s consistently charting on world digital song+

sales, amazon best sellers, us itunes. he has stable success but this fandom goes when they see it because it’s simply not talked about. big “ot7” accounts ignore him (cough btschartdata). armys see him as more of a cheerleader or a cute baby or a sex doll than an artist...

my only explanation for this fandom’s behavior is that they are annoyed or threatened by his success and popularity and thus they need to reduce him to something less. armys pretend to like him but their true colors never fail to show once he gets in the way of their bias...
