Today seems to be the most drama-filled day I ever had.
So many mishaps happened almost at once, I felt the devil woke up with me.

From house to work is a 35 minutes journey at one end of Lagos where people tend to live lawlessly. Coming to work this morning, half way through,
the sole of my shoe came off. Before then, I was already 40 minutes late. Well, I know fixing it won't take more than 5minutes so I looked out for a cobbler who did it in 4minutes. I thought I was now ready to rush to work but I wasn't. Or the cobbler wasn't.
I brought out
a thousand naira note to pay for a 50 naira work đŸ€Š.
This was where my story began. Searching for change isn't a problem but getting someone that will help with it was the issue we had.
Now I was almost an hour late and patients were already waiting.
I was barely halfway through
Like every Lagosian, an idea came to my mind: I bought fries worth of 200 naira just to get a 50 naira note to pay the aboki cobbler. I thought I was now free to run to work, but still I wasn't.
The next bus I boarded spoilt few minutes after we left. The driver claimed it's just
a minor issue that he'll bypass the starter and turn on the engine (or whatever he said sef). We waited. I was now 1hour 30minutes late. All my dressing have scattered, the perfs I sprayed (both the one I collected from my mum) all disappeared. I was now smelling like a mixture
of mud and sweat. The day hasn't even started and I was exhausted already.
I forgot to mention that I didn't eat at home before I left. Hunger was now setting in.
We waited for 10minutes still the bus doesn't want to start.
I decided to come down and look for another bus.
But then I remembered I had paid already. It's like Lagos conductors do these things intentionally. They always collect money from passengers so that incase the bus broke down, they already got their pays.
Well, it was only N150 so I left it with him. I stopped another bus and
got in. When it was time to pay I realized I didn't collect my change from the conductor of the previous bus I came down from 🙆 (N350).
Everything seemed like it was planned in the spiritual world and it's now manifesting.
Well, thank God I still had N150 remaining.
At this point I knew I had zero Kobo for transport to home after work. I didn't even remember I was supposed to eat at work.

I paid the conductor his money and got down. Few steps away from the bus I realized I had forgotten my laptop bag (with laptop) in the bus. Lmao. I turned
and the bus was already moving. I started running towards a moving bus đŸ€Š. I was like a mad man chasing a running vehicle. Funny was that I was on corporate wear with tie. Ran some more meters before the bus stopped. Everyone in the bus was now laughing. I collected my bad and
left.
I was now 2 hours 30 minutes late. I got to work and I was looking like a mad man who just ran mad recently. There was no single Kobo in my pocket. How was I supposed to eat? Transport back home nko?
Good news was that I had my ATM card in my pocket.
The closest ATM to my office is 1 hour away and going there to withdraw will take more than 3hoours of my time. I had to endure the hunger and decided to fast for today. The problem was now where to get transport fare back home.

I was recently employed so I hadn't made close
friends at work, not to talk of getting someone to borrow transport money from. But as luck would have it, a colleague gave me the N200 I needed for transport.

I thought everything was now fine but it turned out I thought wrongly.
After the day's work, full of anger and hunger,
I boarded a bus back home. Journey back home is two drops: one of N150 and and another of N50. I had already alighted from the bus for the first part of my journey when I noticed that the N50 change the conductor gave me was badly torn. I tried to return it but the bus has left
already. "Which conductor will agree to collect this torn N50 naira note like this"? I asked myself. That heartless conductor that gave me the money actually did it intentionally, that's why he waited for when I had already alighted to give it to me so the bus can zoom off.
Haba, why all these? I was confused and pitied myself.

Luckily, I saw a POS withdrawal shop. I thought I can now get enough money for both transport and food because I was severely hungry, I hadn't eaten even a morsel of food and time was around 6pm.
I tried using the POS but I was debited and the recipient account wasn't credited. Why all these were happening was what I couldn't decipher.
I didn't know what to do, there was no other POS stand in that area. I thought of begging from people but my pride didn't even let me go
on with the thought.
After much begging and time wasting, the POS operator, out of pity, gave me the N50 I needed to go back home. The time was now 7pm. I got home and was confused why all these happened to me today, so I thought of making this thread.
