I want to talk about Zootopia for a minute. (Spoilers)
Judy screwed up. Her words and actions hurt a lot of people. But she took responsibility for it and tried to fix it.
However, she would not have been able to fix it without Nick, who listened to her apology /1

and forgave her.
It takes genuine apologies and effort from someone who was in the wrong, but also the forgiveness and support of the people they wronged, to affect change. (I do realize there are limits to this.)
You can yell at people on the far right all you want, but they /2

have people who will always support them. (See our current WH inhabitant.)
People like Noelle will never be supported by those kinds of people, and now a lot of people who used to support her have canceled her. If we don’t support people who are truly trying to improve society /3

whether it’s through creating media or some other means, when they make a mistake, no one will, and we’ll never get anywhere. That’s all.
