I don’t know what her situation is but I’ll speak on a general context.

It’s very much possible.

Remember that years ago anything involving amadlozi nemithi was classified as witchcraft. One generation might be full of healers & bishops, then the next generation “converts” the gift to the church because of different reasons such as “Sangoma’s are scary, I don’t want it”.
Then the dishonesty rides off to many generations - during this time amadlozi are chilling. Families are sure they’ve won the converting race but secretly kukhona abantu abahlushwa yidlozi - they ignore & ask for prayers. Great.
Decades later, grandchildren are born with no idea of spiritual gifts of ubungoma in the lineage because all they ever knew was religion. All they were ever taught was that dead people are dead and should never be spoken to... but the other dead people in that book “live on”. ☹️
Now the lineage decides that they still need to claim their heritage - they choose one child (more sometimes) , the child gets sick and doctors can’t see anything. The child uyaboniswa, has elderly solutions, often times endlini ku tense because the family knows but silence.
Hence the child does not know anything until the day they decide to go for a consultation and then kuphume all truths. How the family handles it, is up to them but it turns into a sad journey because the child feels alone & unsupported because “ungabizi usatan endlini yam”.
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. This particular generation is in the selection phase and all clans are choosing & claiming their gifts.
This is one of the reasons why many healers are diagnosed with depression. Bazothi uyahlanya and you do not have normal mental capabilities- that time they know what’s happening with you but they turn a blind eye. Family.
There are many layers beyond your control. What will manifest, will come to pass and God will carry you. Go through it ❤️
I blacked out while typing that. I hope it makes sense. 🕯
