To all the crypto trading newcomers: Welcome!

Keep in mind that
- the first bull market is here for you to *learn*
- the second bull market will be for you to *earn*
- and the third bull market will be for you to *yearn* for all the sanity that you lost along the way

You are allowed to quit at any time, either by starting to build something useful, or by shilling ref links and other crypto related "content" to those even greener than you.

Trading is not the only, and not even the best way to expose yourself to the revolution of money.

It's unlikely that you'll ever leave the crypto space again.

This bull market will last much longer than you expect, and the following bear market will also last much longer than you expect.

A rule of thumb is that in a bull, you should be looking for money. While in a bear, you should be looking for meaning.

As nobody ever enters crypto trading in a bear, you too will enter with money, and very little meaning. You will lose your money, while trying to make sense of all this. This is good! Nobody ever learnt trading without losing money - just don't lose more than you can afford to.

Eventually, and only if you play your cards reasonably well, you'll be able to establish a tiny foothold. You might even 100x the last-last dollars you put in. You'll be euphoric! Then the bear will come.

We give our children bears to play with for a reason. Bears are calm. Bears are soothing. They will put you to sleep. To sleep on that euphoric money you had in crypto. You'll loose it once more. Only then you'll truly start looking for meaning.

You'll be desperate. Maybe this will spark your creativity, and you'll become a builder. But you could also become a maximalist, holding desperately onto those bags, worth less and less over time.

As a maximalist, you'll start making up strange narratives, about the system, the coins you hold, about yourself. Like a religion, those narratives will keep you from truly finding meaning. Try to avoid becoming a maximalist if you want to be a trader.

One day, you'll be hurting so bad by then that you won't even notice, the prices will go up again. A new bull will be born. Will you then have gained enough understanding to ride it?

Crypto will continue to paint these seemingly obvious cycles forever. Not only the entire market, every single coin will. You can apply the whole cycle that I described above to any single coin. Every pump, and the following dump leaves back a few maximalists.

Try to play the game long enough to learn enough to ride these cycles. And cherish your sanity and your RL friends while you still have them. Now, start losing money as quickly as you can.
