When they were putting in work to get the ATM open on W Broadway, nobody was claiming they were doing that for George Floyd or racial justice. The one young lady told me, she know they got 10 stacks up in there. I was like, ok.
I didn't choose to not partake because of some moral superiority, it didn't occur to me, I wasn't desperate enough to partake cuz I feel like I have myriad opportunities to get 10 stacks.
If you have foreclosed on someone's opportunities, dreams of opportunities, for generations, looting is a viable choice each and every time that opportunity avails itself. As simple as that. You can take your morality play somewhere else, cuz its bullshit.
Hell, the next opportunity might be the Vikings win the superbowl or some other shit, the opportunity is not the matter, the conditions that create this as a viable choice is the matter. And no one at that press conference said "why this confluence of desperation? "
why a young man murdering and shooting himself? why these guns as a viable answer? why young people with the world in front of them out here climbing through glass for gym shoes? what have we wrought?
We want to wrap it up as not having enough law enforcement and we know that is a bullshit answer to that why. It is an easy careless, irresponsible answer. Not an answer at all.
