I feel like this is a good time to talk about just simply how Black people get betrayed by white women almost every single day, like I may be biased since I& #39;m very much in the LGBTIA+ community every day, and that may color my bias but I feel Black people are especially
Underserved and underprotected in this community, how because of the majority of the prominent figures in this community are WHITE they never get an equal say...ever. They get used as throwaway jokes or used as objects to show "Hey, we& #39;re not only Gay BUT we& #39;re also not racist!"
Black people and especially Black LGBTIA+ people aren& #39;t seen as people by A LOT of white people, but you& #39;d start thinking "Hey, these people are gay, or trans, or queer, they should understand a struggle and help,right?" No, often times White LGBTIA+ people dont.
Why?Mostly because just like Cis Hetero White people,like 99.99% of LGBTIA+ still haven& #39;t unlearned Racism,and haven& #39;t taken up the basic ideal of Anti-Racism. Not just "not being racist." But actually being Anti-Racist, that means calling out when you see it, and cleaning it up.
Yah, that& #39;s another thing,white LGBTIA+ people.We have a shit ton of cleaning up to do. We not only have to keep exclusionists out of our circles, we also HAVE to keep non anti-racists out of our circles.That means ditching Jeffrey Star, Ellen, and generally every mainstream gay.
Like I said speaking as a mixed person here, I not only have to share being in the white community but also in the LGBTIA+ community, and if white people? You& #39;re gonna be these hedgestones or pillars of community? GET THE RACISTS FUCKING OUT. GOOD LEADERS DONT LET ENEMIES IN.
This means your general racist, BUT that also means cleaning out the "haha, gonna make a racist joke, but I& #39;m queer so don& #39;t worry, it& #39;s okay I knowwwww oppression." I& #39;m not gonna name names, but you know damnnnnnn well who the fuck I& #39;m talking about.
And this is what I said earlier, that ESPECIALLY LGBTIA+ white women fail Black LGBTIA+ people. They honestly should know better, they& #39;re a double minority and what that means is they& #39;re both a women (which is a minority) and LGBTIA+ (which is a minority).
So you& #39;d think "huh, they& #39;re oppressed by the system twice or three times as hard as a white cis man? Shouldn& #39;t they have more empathy?" And I will answer that as often more times than not, "Nope." They still Racism they haven& #39;t dealt with, they still have "white privilege."
That is why so often many time you see Black people call out and tell white people to clean their own houses first, like maybe like 0.01 of us is on the ball with Anti-Racism, so we still have A LOT to clean up.
I just wanted to conclude this thread with a couple things. Please PLEASE listen to Black voices, especially voices of Black LGBTIA+ people. Also like so many of us, we all need to also read more on Anti-Racism and how to better help Black people in this goddamn world.
