baby hargreeves headcanons:

- allison was the first one to speak while vanya was the last

- if diego didn’t like a food he’d throw his spoon and hit the nanny directly between the eyes every time

- ben learned to read first and read picture books to his siblings

- nobody’s first word was “dad” but klaus’s was “ben”

- luther kept breaking toys by accident and cried about it

- instead of a first word, five busted out a full sentence casually and went back to whatever he was doing

- luther always said “goodnight” to the moon and stars

- klaus went through a phase where he made everyone friendship bracelets

- vanya secretly wished she could share a room with allison

- when grace showed up diego would always give her drawings and cross-stitches he made

- klaus was the first one to walk and often wandered off

- when he was little five couldn’t control his jumps so ended up in all sorts of places

- allison had the most toys because of her power: she got whatever she asked for

- five was a notoriously picky eater

- often ben was teased for being the “crybaby” of the family because he would cry over the smallest scrapes and bruises

- one of vanya’s favourite toys was a xylophone

- klaus would sleep in diego or ben’s beds if he had a nightmare

- allison used to sing/hum all the time when she was playing

- when vanya was “ordinary”, ben was so upset he couldn’t play with her anymore

- luther and diego always fought over the same toys

- five hated hugs and wouldn’t let anyone comfort him if he got hurt

- ben and klaus always begged to share a room

- they all used to share baths when they were little. diego and allison would pretend the bath was a pirate ship and squabble over who got to be captain

- vanya and diego both baked goodies with grace. they had matching aprons

some more:

- diego was one of those constantly scruffy, messy children. always sticky with jam and covered in mud.

- klaus and five would prank call people on the telephone in the hall. they also used to prank their siblings

- this is taken from somebody else (!) but grace calling klaus her little bumblebee

- vanya = vanny, diego = dee, & allison = allie for short

- five and vanya used to play puzzles/board games together because they liked peace & quiet

- baths continued: 1 2 & 3 shared, so did 4 & 5 and 6 & 7. klaus covering a grumpy five in bubbles.

- allison had to learn how to style her hair from magazines and stuff. luther helped

- vanya sometimes wore her hair in plaits

- when they went into stores klaus would stuff candy in his pockets and play innocent

- diego threw the biggest temper tantrums, kicking and screaming

- on other hand five would go floppy on purpose and refuse to stand up properly

- luther & klaus were sulkers

- ben complained of stomach aches a lot because of the horrors. grace made a big fuss over him

- ben ate food five didn’t like for him so his brother wouldn’t get in trouble

- when five got a cold he would teleport every time he sneezed

- vanya was treated as the baby of the family

- ben was the peacemaker between his brothers and always had to solve arguments

- grace taught klaus how to knit to keep his hands busy because he fidgeted a lot

- luther loved superheroes and read lots of comics

i thought of more when i was in the shower:

- five was the first to learn to write and scribbled '5's all over the house

- reginald wouldn't let them get a pet but they all begged for one at some point or another

- klaus & luther wanted a dog, allie & ben wanted a cat

- vanya wanted a bunny so badly that her and klaus once smuggled one out of a shelter. reluctantly reginald let her keep it since she wasn't a real member of the ua.

- sometimes their nannies would take them to the shelter to play with animals. diego liked the kittens best

- they all had to learn to swim (for missions)

- diego and klaus were real water babies. it was always impossible to coax them out of the pool. bc he could hold his breath 4ever diego always got dunked by his siblings.

- luther and diego were always splashing each other

- they also both got really competitive and would hold races with each other

- ben hated the cold water and reasoned that the horrors wouldn't like it. he sat on the side and watched.

- vanya was allowed to swim with them. she wore the cutest little armbands

- five never learnt to swim. he stood on the side and shivered so reginald tossed him into the water to "encourage" him. he's still nervous around water

- diego was the one that saved five from drowning

- allison liked playing mermaids so luther would play with her

- vanya used to garden with grace and she found it comforting. she was ever so gentle with plants

- allison was on the soccer team (canon) so her siblings went to watch her play. klaus was a regular cheerleader. luther and diego would argue with the referee.

adding more bc i'm sad:

- klaus was always scared of 'monsters' (ghosts) so luther would check under his bed for them and threaten to beat them up (thanks veteranklaus)

- ben helped diego with writing his name bc he struggled with it

- luther and klaus made mud pies together

- they went through daily walks through the town with their nannies

- allison and klaus loved looking in clothes shop windows

- vanya loved going past the pet store

- ben always wanted to go in the book store but hated making a fuss so diego would beg on his behalf

- vanya would write stories and staple them together to make "books". she usually showed them to grace

- when vanya was declared "ordinary", some of her siblings offered to share their powers with her

- luther, ben, and allison would go to movies together (rumoured nannies)

- five was responsible for sharing stuff out equally because he was the only one who was good with numbers

- ben and klaus held hands a lot (canon)

- the siblings would often have to 'buddy up': allison and luther, diego and five, ben and klaus

- five would sneak treats from the kitchen for the siblings using his powers

- he also got stuff from high shelves for vanya

- vanya would help grace patch up her siblings if they got injured during training

- diego and five fried ants with a magnifying glass (vanya cried)

- diego was never good at fiddly things. he had to wear shoes with velcro because he couldn't tie laces

- five had to get fillings as a kid bc of all the sugar he ate

- luther's first word was "teddy"

- vanya and five both had imaginary friends
