Aaaah, how to start. I love pretty much every SJ fic ever written by @sharim30229377 - I feel like my personal favorites are Anything Cliche ( https://archiveofourown.org/works/17722562/chapters/41810867) and Breakfast at Jack's ( https://www.fanfiction.net/s/1120228/1/Breakfast-at-Jack-s) but really, anything she's ever written. Seriously.

What may be my favorite S/J oneshot ever is Spiletta42's Never Say Die ( https://archiveofourown.org/works/198309 ), and I also absolutely *adore* Badfic!Pete and the Temple of Doom ( https://archiveofourown.org/works/198333 ) and Xanadu ( https://archiveofourown.org/works/198296 ) and Jaunt to Paradise ( https://archiveofourown.org/works/198299 ). <3

No list of SJ recs would be complete without the writing of @proftennant, my hero for writing Body Checked ( https://archiveofourown.org/works/15088637 ). She also writes *adorable* oneshots. I *love* our hearts are holding hands https://archiveofourown.org/works/16463123  but really, read every single one of her works.

On the topic of things that make me *melt*, @CoraClavia 's SJ fics are amazing and sweet and just *perfect*. Off the top of my head, I'd recommend Five Times Sam Gets Married ( https://archiveofourown.org/works/16434491 ) but I think I love everything she's ever written.

And how could I *not* mention @polrobin 's wonderful fics, headlined by the Campfire Series ( https://archiveofourown.org/works/221922 ) of course but *please* read some of her other stuff too - Fever https://archiveofourown.org/works/221819  is amazing and Cookies and Compromises is sweeeet https://archiveofourown.org/works/221869 

In terms of more recent writers, I'm in love with @pensivevet 's way with words...I can't play favorites but I just finished 2010 ( https://archiveofourown.org/works/19193608 ) which is absolutely wonderful. And if you're willing to read a WIP, In dreams https://archiveofourown.org/works/24759118  is a must. :)

Is it cheating to rec 240 fics at once? I hope not, because the Bizarre Holidays series by @itsjustmejac ( https://archiveofourown.org/series/1234973 ) is awesome. As is she and the rest of her fics. <3 :D

I think it's a rule: you've gotta rec @amaradangeli's stuff when you rec SJ fic. And it's a good rule.

There is no way I can choose fave of the 102 fics she's got on AO3. But I have to say, Escape Pod https://archiveofourown.org/works/13930695  is one of the best escape pod fics ever written. ;)

Despair and hope by wanderingsmith ( https://www.fanfiction.net/s/4819664/1/Despair-and-hope) is an excellent alternate Chimera fic. So, so sweet. <3

The Old Man and the Sea ( https://fanfiction.net/s/1863007/1/The-Old-Man-and-the-Sea) by rogue-bishop is one of the most serious Jack and Jacob fics I've read. Jack's a sweetheart in this one. And there's a super shippy sequel :)

Unguarded by RedGrayBall ( https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10145646/1/Unguarded) is wonderful and perfectly in character and was one of the fics that made me think, "hey, maybe I could do this." :)
