People say shoot back + I agree but could you imagine if Black folks take over the electric grid, cell towers, water systems + sewage/trash? Infrastructure is the most important aspect of revolutionary organizing. I'd wager more important that political education (slightly)

1- like the Panthers and every African + Indigenous strategist before us knew, you can't teach someone who is hungry. We have to meet the needs of the people so they can trust us, and so they can be empowered to take the risk of fighting back against the state.

2-every Black + Indigenous American is viewed as a potential insurgent, and a pillar of counter insurgent strategy is to control the people and the resources. If they killed 3000 bison a day, what makes you think they won't shut off our sewage + utilities ? H/t @megkmag

2b - the Black woman who had to trust a random Black man for help when her neighbor was trying to kill her w/ the approval of the police? Her trash was allowed to pile up which contributed to the psyop/terrorism she was under. It wasn't until he got involved that it was fixed

3- The destruction of the state which is killing us is half of the goal, ensuring our ability to thrive is the rest. Even a cursory overview of military strategy historically and in contemporary times shows a bunch of guns is not a strategy. It's white to act like it is.

3b - Building spaces that we can intentionally defend where we can hold an advantage is critical, especially since America has one of the most technologically advanced militaries in the world.

4- most importantly, focusing on infrastructure creates spaces and opportunities for Black people to experience joy. Where Liberation isn't about struggle and fighting but thriving and comfort too. We are creating a new world, and it's beautiful.
