I don't speak for all black creatives. The She-Ra stuff got me facepalming at the lack of self-awareness & the apology is fine whatever, I'm not trying to cancel anyone I just want more black women creators/writers to have their shot

like just a handful of black folk on staff with actual sway and you'd have a "nah this aint a good look". Though being the white ppl insurance isn't the *the actual goal*, it just kind of highlights how big that gap is in the industry in terms of opportunity/networking

idk I also have complicated feelings on doubling down creators who at least help bring diverse backgrounds into mainstream media while much larger names/companies do the bare minimum and face no consequences when they fuck up. Cartoons shouldn't be this much work.
