(1/5) Testing/Cases update. Firstly, there seems to be a load of backlogged cases in today's higher than usual total of 1,522. Of the 2,204 added in the past 2 days for England (with no data update yesterday), 249 were from >= 7 days ago (normal would be ~ zero):
(2/5) Looking at cases by specimen date in England, in reality these are quite flat and R(t) is probably < 1 at the moment:
(3/5) Positivity rate (excluding today, for which no data is available) is up and down but pretty flat overall for the past fortnight:
(4/5) Cases, normalised by testing rate, have fallen in most areas, London is up a bit over the past few days:
(5/5) This appears mostly driven by small recent spikes in Hackney, Wandsworth & Southwark (NB. could be in-hospital tests), which now seem to be subsiding, but keep an eye out:
