That cynical formulation where you're like "was this author compromised" and then you realize that he died of an untimely heart attack 6 months after he published, so he probably was legit.
In this case Joseph Borkin, the liberal Nuremberg investigator who wrote about how Standard Oil and IG Farben were basically a joint venture before during and after WWII.
Saw his stuff in an archive with a bunch of Larouchies like Engdahl and even Viscount Lymington (!) so just the association made me worried for a minute.
Apparently Crime and Punishment of IG Farben was a popular book in 1979, and goes deep into how the Rockefellers helped the Nazis develop tech for synthetic rubber and aircraft fuel.
Might actually be that the Larouche obsession with painting the Rockefellers as agents of the British Crown and the KGB was originally specifically to poison the well against what was revealed in this book.
This kind of assertion would be considered Conspiracy Theory today

BTW this is investigation was about IG Farben's American branch, General Analine & Film, aka the people who made Viewmasters.
