South Africa was going to be GREAT if radio and television displayed 90% local content from the start. You can't say someone should stop "sounding American" when all they watched and listened while growing up was American content...by force.

People are not even trying to learn more about our culture. I figured with conversations I've had with people about the SA music industry.

I blame the media (radio and television) and also some record labels for using their power to constantly play 1 artist for 2 years.. People get tired and don't learn about new artists and the new sounds we have been trying out.
