great to see people talk about the crewra & noelle situation! I think that as white people it's very important to remember that we are all just as capable of being complicit to thinly veiled racism, especially those of us raised in bigoted environments
this situation goes to show that even the "unproblematic" white BLM allies can reveal subtle forms of racism through things such as jokes and that's why we're supposed to be educating, challenging and analysing ourselves and our mindsets as thoroughly and actively as possible^^
I will not speak on nor will I accept her apology because it's not my place to, but I just want to say that whilst educating others is very important, analysing yourself and challenging your own subconscious mindsets & ignorance is also a crucial part of being a good ally
instead of trying to distance ourselves from the mistakes of other white people & using the "I could never do that, I'm so much better" mindset, we should acknowledge that we're not immune either and use it as a learning experience to motivate us into bettering our allyship
