Anyone who thinks @graciegcunning is stupid for asking questions doesn't know much about how we learn

Asking a question and getting an answer is one of the most effective and efficient ways to learn a concept

As far as how people thousands of yrs ago came up w/ concepts such as algebra & geometry, I'd argue it's because they were also asking questions

Like how to build something complex and big. This requires crazy knowledge of maths and geology and more

I mean how did the first person to make bread realize that you need to harvest ripened wheat, grind it into flour, moisten it, wait for airborne yeast to get it to rise, then bake it in an oven over indirect heat

Or beer? Just let it ferment, right? 🙄

I mean I'm a professional archaeologist

And the crazy intellectual leaps our ancestors took to find out

what was edible or not

how to fracture stone in a controlled way

how to build monuments

how to write

how to be funny

or just how to survive

still amazes me
Oh, and for the record

Math isnt real. It's a language with vocabulary and grammar we use to describe certain things around us...

Just like any language, it isn't real, it's just something us humans can use to communicate certain points about real things around us
