Even during a public health crisis, anti-abortion legislators at the state level continue to advance dangerous attacks on abortion rights.

Our new issue brief breaks down the abortion restrictions that state legislatures have passed this year. https://tinyurl.com/y4uc4shh
These laws disproportionately harm people of color, young people, people with disabilities, people with low incomes, LGBTQ people, & people in rural areas, among others.

Many of these communities are facing disproportionate threats to their health & access to care from #COVID19
Reliance on the courts to protect abortion rights is not enough.

Chief Justice Roberts has shown a willingness to uphold future restrictive laws that come before #SCOTUS and President Trump & Senate Majority Leader McConnell continue to stack the courts w/ political ideologues.
Abortion rights remain under attack and out of reach for many in the United States.

Congress must pass the Women’s Health Protection Act, which would prohibit restrictive laws that ban abortion and impose medically unnecessary restrictions on abortion care.
Moreover, policymakers should take proactive actions to fulfill the promise of #Roe v. Wade and ensure that access to abortion care is a reality for all by expanding access to insurance coverage, telehealth, medication abortion, and more.
