Fentanyl causes pulmonary edema; a buildup of fluid in the lungs.

When George Floyd was shouting "I can't breathe," it's more likely than not that Floyd was experiencing the effects of a Fentanyl overdose as opposed to a knee on his neck.

This is a very defensible case.
I will admit, my opinion on this case has changed completely.
By no means was Derek Chauvin in the right. You don’t put your knee on someone’s neck for eight minutes and 46 seconds, but from a legal perspective, that action may not be the sole proximate cause of death. The state must prove causation. If they don’t, he walks.
My prediction is a guilty lesser of manslaughter, and I see the other three officers, especially the rookie, either being acquitted or perhaps taking a deal and testifying against Chauvin.
