So I was racially profiled by the cops this morning.

All I was literally doing was running like I do every morning.

I’m tired man

I had to literally walk all the way to my car to show my military ID to prove I worked in a building that was less than 100 yards away.

While walking to my car I was followed

Apparently even tho I run in the same spot every day it looked like I was trying to rob the storage unit where the track is. Someone had to have been watching me because I run there every day no problem

Told them I was a firefighter they didn’t care

Told them I’m in the army they didn’t believe it

They Ran my license to see if I have any warrants

I’ve never been in trouble with the law.

Ever.

The worst I’ve ever had was a traffic ticket

So why was I even targeted?

A black guy exercising in a bad neighborhood

And the ironic part

I left my registered gun at home and I usually carry it in that car.

Thank God I did

It really means a lot

As a firefighter I work with law enforcement pretty much on the daily.
