I was going to retweet my snarky joke about conventions this morning, but it feels wrong (and frankly not funny) in the wake of current events.

There is so much anger and destruction right now, and I am trying hard not to add to it. 1/

Instead, I would like to encourage each of you to go outside today, go for a walk if you can, find a baby or a puppy (preferably both) to hold, stop and smell the roses.

Try to remember that there is so much beauty & joy in this world, but you might have to go & look for it. 2/

Please try and do something nice for someone today. There is so much need. Many of us are blessed beyond measure, and the way we make our world whole again is to share some of our blessings.

Lord knows we can not wait for the politicians. I am done waiting on politicians. 3/
