why now is the most fitting time for deancas to go canon

so ive seen many people say that deancas is very toxic now and they shouldn't go canon because of that and i just wanna say that that's completely false. throughout season 4 even though we could see they had some kind of connection it wasn't really love.
season 5 their relationship was very complicated and near the end cas ended up beating dean up so no.
seasons 6-7 was cas' betrayal and then death, then crazy! cas etc.
season 8 was purgatory which was also a very good chance but then again they had many unresolved +

issues because if what cas did so..
then moc dean and demon dean, human!cas all in all not the best setting.
i don't really remember season 11-12 but they still haven't really resolved anything. then cas dies and we see how much of an impact it has on dean.

i believe that cas' death was a wake up call for dean too. it was when he realized just how much the angel means to him no matter what happens. season 14 there is this whole mary mess and is literally the most unfitting season for them to go canon. so now let's go to season 15.
we begin on a very rough patch because of what happened with jack and mary in the previous season. dean is very angry at castiel when he didn't do anything wrong. if you really think about it, it wasn't only because of mary. as dean explains later he has so much anger within +
him and you can't really blame him considering what he has gone through. i always say cas has never done anything wrong etc but if we're being honest he has betrayed dean's trust and not only once, even if that wasn't his intention. they have had many problems that needed +
solving but as neither of them is really the talking type they ended up having so much buried anger which would inevitably lead to an outburst. so we see dean being mad and then when cas messes up (even though he didn't really have a choice) dean's frustration makes him explode +
and he says the most hurtful thing he could say "why does that something always seem to be you" implying that cas is the reason everything always goes wrong which....ouch. imo if you really look at him you can see he instantly regretted it however that isn't an excuse and for +
the first time we finally see cas stand up for himself and walk away. dean being the stubborn mf that he is he doesn't stop him even if we know (and imo he did too) he was going to regret it. so we have cas alone working on himself and taking some deserved time off and dean +
hunting or whatever w sam. so throughout this we see sam trying to get in contact w cas and check on him while dean doesn't which just shows how stubborn he really is. but that only lasts while he knows cas is alive, right? because he knows he will get to see him again, right? +
when they have to go to purgatory together again we see them talking -or rather fighting- but talking ab what happened nonetheless. i don't remember that ever happening before. it doesn't really lead anywhere but it's a first. then they're separated and, of course, that's when +
dean realises that he doesn't have time to make amends. it sucks that he only realizes then that he has to solve his problems w cas when he thinks he won't see him again but at least he does try and in a way that is so raw and so difficult for dean. he apologizes and he admits +
that he knows he's wrong and that he shouldn't act this way and even though it's not excuse it's an apology. here i wanna add that we can't really compare our morals to spn morals saying that they way he treats cas is awful and he shouldn't be forgiven because we can't really +
understand what they go through ever and dean's trauma is very evident and shouldn't be dismissed because it's the main source of his anger and the reason he acts the way he does. so we have this very raw, very emotional scene where dean can't really bare the thought of losing +
his best friend, especially not like this, not when there's so much anger between them. and we see that ,like season 8, he's not willing to leave purgatory without cas. we know how hard it was for him being there the first time, how much he went through to find the angel +
and he knows too but he still refuses to leave without cas because he'd rather go through that hell again than leave castiel behind and if that doesn't tell you something...
(have the scene just for the pain)
(have the scene just for the pain)
anyway they finally reunite and he already apologized through prayer but that isn't enough and he wants to say more but cas stops him. imo he was gonna say he loves him but that's just a hc so im not basing my logic on why they should go canon on that. +
anyway we get this hug that really wrecked me because you can see how relieved dean was when a day before they weren't even talking to each other. the thing is that cas understands. he listens to his friend opening up and talking about his issues so truthfully +
and he can't do anything but understand him and forgive him because he knows how difficult it is for him. he knows that underneath all the anger dean loves him very deeply and that he can't stand the thought of losing him. +
so for me this was a very crucial part of why they're better now than ever before. it's a turning point in their relationship because even though one confession can't really resolve a decade of issues +
it is more than they have ever done before. so we see that they make amends and they start talking again and i know things aren't perfect, honestly they're far from that, but if you ever thought they should go canon this is probably the healthiest point of their relationship. +
and i wanna say im not a clown so i don't think it will go canon but they've been building up to it so much both on the show but focusing on their relationship so much this season essentially giving them a much needed development when they didn't have to do that and off the show
esp considering jensen's comments and change of stance. im not saying to keep your hopes up because we've been queerbaited for so long but !!
anyway don't take this too seriously it's just my opinion and if i got things wrong it's because i don't watch the show so don't reply telling me im wrong cause i !! don't !! care !!
