sometimes i like get THIS close to understanding the beauty of religious belief, the desire to believe in a god that put careful thought and love into *you* rather than being an evolutionary accident... and then i am embittered by my experiences and bigotry again

when i read about faith and how people experience it, it feels so beautiful, but then i have to read the same stupid bitch say "well i believe in loving and supporting the community but homosexuality is still sin and you're going to hell for it! " like go fuck yourself

(i promise i'm almost done) religion has been ruined for me by my catholic upbringing and i hate it!! i can't even consider faith or higher powers without it feeling like i'm doing something wrong or betraying who i am, and it's frustrating to not be able to explore that
