The report underscores the responsibilities of private military and security companies in human rights abuses as well as lack of oversight and, ultimately, of accountability of the system.

In our submission (referenced in the report), we highlighted that these companies have come to play an essential role in framing of migration as a security threat for which the “solution” is security and military technical and technological tools.
