Do y’all think religion should be banned in an ideal world?

I’m personally an anti-theist but I don’t think banning religion is right AT ALL. People have the freedom to believe in and practise what they want to as long as they’re not hurting anyone. I know it propagates oppression but shouldn’t discussion and reason collectively (1/n)

lead to a state where people denounce it? I don’t think banning does ANYTHING other than dictating what people should or shouldn’t do. It goes against the very principle of demanding answers and asking questions. Idk why people would want that (2/n)

Like I believe one has to truly make sure it doesn’t turn oppressive? A majority telling what a minority has to do and stuff like that? You have to make sure of that, you can’t do ANYTHING in the name of religion. But banning it? Nah (3/n)
