Every minority group in Pakistan whether that's Muslims of other sects or people of other faith, at least have an active community. They have charitable welfare, hospitals, schools, blood bank etc to facilitate their community and beyond. Except for the majority sunnis. +
Sunnis have no congregation, no course of action or any plan for the community, the masjids are only reduced to farz namaz and we rush back home. We don't meet anyone or sit there. We're all working on our individual capacities and exercising our privilege or lack thereof.
Community gives you confidence that you have somewhere to lean on. You have access to education, hospitals, blood bank or worse a mayyat gaari. You know where to go or who to call but without all of this, you're one incident away and the entire house of cards fall down.
Sure at a bad time, the neighbors help but that's not always guaranteed - and to what extent? If the majority of our country is to live their entire lives in such insecurity, how are they going to dream big, take risks be creative and not always play safe?
So IMHO, I think our ingenuity, among other various factors, is also being immensely hampered by the lack of communal sense of the majority.

PS: Memons are the only majority sunni example that has a proper community outreach programme. Add more if you could think of any. Thanks!
