We can't say "abolish the police" in one breath and "arrest the cops/men who hurt women" in the next... We can't at once advocate for abolition and carceral feminism.

That's not how this works

It is by design that the prison system *can't* address rape culture & criminal justice systems *can't* achieve justice. Imprisoning ppl doesn't make anyone safer &especially not precarious subjects who are often victims of the violence/injustice these systems pretend to deal with

Abolition aims to address the root causes of violence & injustice, which these systems actually legitimize, facilitate and reproduce. Abolition seeks to eliminate the conditions that make prisons pose themselves as a "solution" when they are an embodiment of capitalist violence.
