Phase 1 of compartmentalizing my very busy life such that I maintain a healthy amount of downtime and am able to re-energize myself a bit is completed. Tips for stressed busy people below. Good morning 🌞
Put your phone in permanent DND n limit your notifications in your phone n get an actual voicemail that gives ppl instructions as to what to do next... even if its “you gotta wait til whenever I’m available to respond” 😂 thanks to my roommates for this🙂 @Andrew_Grotz n Pheona
Put your downtime app on so that you have to ask permission to ise social media. Im down to being on fb 15 min a day max, instagram very little, leaving twitter as my main app to reduce screentime
Schedule send emails that need to go out far in the future when you think about them so they are out the way
Place an appointment maker in your email signature along with your boundaries during busy periods. This is like ur autoreply except less annoying and constant.
Schedule in consistent self care like if its small, have siri or alexa play music, podcasts, meditation, whatever automatically when ur alarm goes off in the morning. Even if its 5 minutes.
Pro Tip I learned from my adviser, block off ALL the time (including 3am) that you don’t want people to be able to schedule with u. Make an event called personal time in put it in your calendar.
Lastly, never be afraid to NOT respond to people who break those boundaries and train them to stay within them. The people who can break them like friends n fam will know who they r. Or just call or txt back. Bc of this, I feel a bit more balanced â˜ș, can’t wait to improve this
This is the End of this thread for stressed busy people â˜ș happy organizing! :-)
