Thinking about Timothy and Malissa today. Every day, really.

The judge who acquitted Brelo isn't the problem here - the prosecutor who threw the case - Rick Bell - is.

Bell is a Democrat so I am contractually obligated to tell you all to vote for him.

His opponent is a Black woman who was a Democrat for most of her life until she was appointed to her spot by Kasich.

I don't trust anyone who aligns with Republicans. Period.

So there.

But Rick Bell's record is problematic as hell. And it might destroy Democrats' chances in Ohio this year. How?

Rick Bell "threw" the case against Brelo by intentionally picking charges that were impossible to convict him on. And Brelo wanted a bench trial.

The cops - many of them - fired 137 shots into that car. When the prosecutors brought charges, they charged one single cop with murder. To find him guilty, prosecutors had to prove that Brelo shot the one shot that killed each of the two. With that many shots, it was impossible.

The judge, John O'Donnell, had no choice but to acquit Brelo. And since then he's spoken out about systemic racism and police violence. He's haunted by this too.

Rick Bell? He's friends with cops. He saved the cops in this case. And we need to hold him accountable.

Bell was only an assistant prosecutor on that case and O'donnell was the Judge. Everyone thinks this was O'donnell's fault.

The Black activist community in Cleveland is very angry with O'Donnell about this case and promised to mobilize to stop his run for Ohio Supreme Court.

Well, that's the one race we might win this year and it matters. So the Ohio Republicans are now watching and pouring money into a statewide effort to block O'Donnell, using Timothy Russell and Malissa Williams as political pawns to protect a GOP Supreme Court candidate.

Watch for it to sync up with Trump's anti-Democrat outreach in Black communities, dampening turnout and pulling the entire ticket down.

We need O'Donnell on the bench. Democrats need to be honest about Bell and we need to do it immediately.
