Starting October 1st I might not use anything XboxLive-related including my XboxOneX device, Microsoft Store on my PC and GamePass all together, which I have paid in advance until 2022+. Microsoft has updated their terms of use stating that I'm not allowed to use Xbox. (1/4)
I'm not allowed to use Xbox in Croatia, I'm not allowed to use GamePass, and I'm not allowed to use games from Windows Store. This legal decision greatly simplifies my future console of choice because, thanks to Microsoft's legal department, there will only be one choice. (2/4)
For multiple reasons that add-up, my primary console of choice is Xbox. But starting next month my only choice in Croatia is fully-supported PlayStation. Microsoft literally made sure that I am no longer allowed access to their services unless I want my account punished. (3/4)
I love Xbox games. I play #SeaOfThieves a lot - lot! Like thousands of hours. Luckily there is an option for me to continue loving that game and it's called Steam. Here is what happens next:
a) MS makes it legal to use Xbox in Croatia and I buy the XSX
b) I buy the PS5 (4/4)
Sorry for my error above. What I meant by "B" was that I will buy the PS5 ONLY. Because I was planning to buy it anyway so I can play games unavailable on Xbox and PC.
I'm not saying that they will ban your account. They just changed the rules so they have every right to do so. But they might not. I cannot guarantee anything to you. I'm just a consumer.
