Much of the talking points that solo stans use is eerily similar to online hate groups.
"X hates Jimin"
is purposeful exaggeration and radicalisation of acts, much like how feminists who criticise toxic masculinity are "hating men", pro-choice advocates are "murdering babies", BLM are "terrorists", etc.

If a group of people operates like a hate group, we ought to deal with them like a hate group.
Hate groups thrive on spreading misinformation and radicalised language that dehumanises their perceived enemies. They validate untrue statements with sheer numbers, rather than facts.

Hate groups will attempt to question your positive experiences with their targets and if you don't align with them, they'll use language to make you seem the worse person:
"femnazi"
"terrorist"
"baby murderer"
"Jimin hater"
This isn't truth, it's a tactic.

Hate groups use their numbers to validate statements - if 1000 people claim the same thing, it must have truth behind it, right?
No.
Not on Twitter.
Hate groups generate echo by using multiple sock puppet accounts and bots. Some are more sophisticated than others.

Hate groups generate echo by using multiple sock puppet accounts and bots. Some are more sophisticated than others.
One easily recognisable account type is [name+numbers], for example "jim2156763" or "jenni042345". These accounts are usually somebody's bots or sock puppets. They can appear very human and in fact, an actual human might even tweet with them, but they're not a separate voice.
Twitter is an online platform that can easily be exploited. Not to go too much into politics, but it's a known fact what a business it has become to sway public opinion using Twitter and Facebook. It's why ARMY are constantly labelled bots, too.
Do NOT trust any information that comes from outside trustworthy circles. Solo stans, manager antis and antis are attempting to radicalise you the exact same way young ppl are radicalised into hate groups.
First, they'll tell you that those big accounts are too big and they don't even notice the small ones anymore. How unfair is that? Just because they're a big account, doesn't mean they matter more! Big accounts are more problematic than small accounts, anyway!
Then, they'll show you convincing evidence that these accounts are actually deceiving people. They'll preface their evidence with telling you what you should see in the screenshots - hate for a member, sucking up to the company, being a fake ARMY, etc.
The evidence is put together to seem convincing, they'll will take any snippet from any particular thread to prove that the person is problematic.
They are human beings and forgot something for a moment? It will be presented as "How dare they!"
They are human beings and forgot something for a moment? It will be presented as "How dare they!"
I can't stress this enough, these are well-known radicalisation tactics that hate groups use across the Internet. Solo stans, mantis and haters are a hate group and they're trying to break the trust you have in big accounts.
Once the seeds of doubt are planted, they'll proceed to tell you that you must help them take down these big accounts.
A common thread in radicalisation is the point when you're convinced that YOU know the truth and everybody else is just blind sheep. YOU are the REAL fan and taking action against these problematic accounts is HEROIC and the only true way to be an ARMY.
They're appealing to your ego, your sense of belonging and sense of justice - with FALSE information. With LIES and DECEPTION. With misinterpreted words and actions.
This is why we're telling you to heavily vet whom you're following, who your sources are. Verify people and information. Do NOT engage in any way without confirming that your engagement is needed. Don't let these hate groups radicalise you.
They purposefully dehumanise the people they're targeting to you with insinuating how evil they are and talking about them as accounts rather than people. That's how they normalise harassment to you. These "accounts" are antis that deserve hate.
I'm adding a few more tweets: note that we're on the Internet where anybody can make an account and pretend to be something. I know for a fact that trolls and hate groups do target stan spaces with quite elaborate deception. This is why trust is such a valuable thing.
I've seen from white supremacist talking points to gamergate memes used in stan wars, so we can be sure that these hate groups exist within our spaces. Align yourself with people who are politically and morally on the side of human progress, of your progress as a person.
We can also be certain that haters outside and inside stan Twitter are creating 7 accounts to spread toxicity in our name. Those people are not ARMY. They have an agenda to tarnish our reputation. Call out toxic people bc their toxicity reflects on all of us.
But don't let yourself get swept into mindless accusations either. A toxic account will look toxic at first glance, nobody will have to convince you. If you need convincing, it just might be so, that person is being unfairly harassed.
Most of us are women, and we already have to deal with harassment in our lives and online. Adding fuel to that fire because somebody forgot something, or somebody made a mistake or whatever is cruel to the mostly women who run these big accounts.
Adding that this doesn't mean men can be harassed, do NOT harass any human being on stan Twitter! Keep that energy for nazis, misogynists and the like. Harassing people because of Kpop is plain dumb and childish. Don't do it, stop doing it!
Verify information with trustworthy people.
Don't blindly trust accounts that accuse others.
Keep your following list short because you might end up supporting sg problematic on accident.
Don't dehumanise big accounts.
ALWAYS THINK FIRST, ASK SECOND AND ACT THIRD!
