I understand that this becomes a complex political issue when human rights are involved.

But we're at the point of naked science denialism for the purpose of political activism, and it's going unchallenged and even encouraged a growing segment of people who should know better.
When I dunk on conservative religious fundamentalists for denying evolution and climate change, I get praise from "the party of science."

When I defend the concept of biological sex using my knowledge of evolution and anisogamy, I'm liable to be "canceled" by those same people.
