5 years ago today I lost my grandfather. My grandfather was a career military man. He fought in WWII and then fought against the Chinese communists. Grandpa Liu was my hero & the only grandfather I knew.
My grandfather was born in a small town in Guangdong, China. He was the 4th of 5 boys & he also had a baby sister who he adored. His family owned a general store in town; a small business that fed the big family.
Communists started to cause unrests; they called it a movement to end corruption & redistribute wealth. They came to the town my grandfather's family lived in & chaos started. My grandfather's life changed forever...
The communist thugs torched the general store (also their home) my grandfather's family owned; they murdered his father & grandfather who tried to defend their property & family. My grandfather was only 5 years old; his mother became a widow with 6 young children overnight.
His mother had poor health, so Grandfather's eldest brother became the head of the house, taking on the responsible of raising the family at age 12. The tremendous loss prompted my grandfather to enlist after high school. He was determined to protect his family & everyone else's.
When I was finally naturalized as a US citizen, Grandfather was relieved. He knew I would have a better life in the US with freedom & liberty to pursue my American dream. Most importantly, I would never have to worry about going through what he had gone through...
Btw, I mentioned in my 1st tweet that Grandpa Liu was the only grandfather I knew, because Grandpa Chou & his father were killed by the Chinese communists, when my father was barely 6 years old. They were farmers & land owners in Zhejiang, China.
This is why I can't let America fall into the hands of the Marxist left. This is why I vote for Trump!
