The changes come into force on October 1st and will be included in the Industry Code for Socially Responsible Advertising.
All social media ads must be targeted at over-25s unless the site can show they will be precisely targeted at over-18s.
Betting ads on search engines must make clear they are for 18+, while the ads must include safer gambling messages.
YouTube users will have to log in to age-verified accounts to see betting adverts.
Our members will also have to post frequent responsible gambling messages on their Twitter accounts.
BGC boss @MichaelDugher: "This new code shows how seriously the BGC take our responsibilities."
