a lot of shit going around latey so:

1. you’re not any less bisexual because you haven’t had sex or dated someone of the same gender as you yet. and you won’t be any less bisexual if that never happens either. your sexuality isn’t defined by others.
2. you’re not any less bisexual if you have a preference for men, or a preference for women. you’re not less bisexual because you’re in a relationship with a man, or in a relationship with a woman. and bisexuality INCLUDES non-binary people too.
3. people not wanting to date you SOLELY because you’re bisexual IS biphobia. if you’re obligated to hide or repress who you are for someone else, so if someone makes you feel like your sexuality is wrong or a burden, leave.
4. you ARE part of the LGBTQ+ community. the B doesn’t stand for biscuit. even if you are in a relationship with the opposite gender, you’re still bisexual. nothing changes that.

if you were single, you’d still be part of the community, so why does a relationship take that away?
5. you’re allowed to rediscover yourself at any point of your life. if you once thought you were bisexual then figured out you’re not, that’s completely ok.

but that doesn’t mean all bisexual people are the same and/or are scared of admitting they’re lesbian/gay.
6. it’s never too late to find yourself. not discover in this case, but FIND YOURSELF. if you believed you were straight but doesn’t think you are anymore, you’re more than welcomed to explore your sexual and romantic attraction.

bisexual people will support you in your journey.
ps: i didn’t say it earlier in the thread because to me that was obvious but of course bisexuality includes trans people. i highlighted non-binary because i didn’t want it to seem as i was only talking about pre-defined social gender roles.
another ps: if anything i said here is incorrect or excluding in any way please let me know. i’d never want to make someone feel uncomfortable or invalidated so this is a free space for learning and growing.
