I don’t often take the time to rail about politics, why bother. But watching the just released video tonight of that white kid in Kenosha, just after he shot three people in cold blood, walk fully armed with his huge long gun toward police in their armored bearcats (thread 1)

with the anguished sounds of Bystanders crying out to the cops “he just shot people! He just shot people!”) and then watching those same cops let him pass, taking no notice of him and his gun in their midst.. and then seeing a video from earlier that same night (thread 2)

of that same kid with other white militiamen hanging around cops in that same area also in armored vehicles and being thanked for being there, and being joked with and. handed bottles of water by members of law enforcement..

THIS is what “making America Great Again” (actually looks like. Great for white people, with weapons, prior to 1865 and too long since.

But even prior to 1865 (and too long since) some white people fought that America, and at least THIS white person, and everyone she knows and is related to —white, Black and Brown— ain’t accepting that America no matter what.

So buckle up.

To defend the police when this goes on right in front of one’s very eyes, and to claim concern for “violence in the streets,” but yet not take an unequivocal stand when police shoot Black men with no guns dead and allow white vigilantes with long guns to shoot unarmed protesters

dead, is to abdicate any claim to being logical, Rational, Fair, or human.

There is zero gray here people. Zero.
