My grandpa is awesome. The next time I’m back home I might be able to organize a Grateful Dead jam session with him and my uncle even though I’ve only been playing mandolin for like a week. It’ll be a new experience for him and it’ll be super cool if I can make that happen
He’s been playing guitar at an amateur level for like 50 years and if I can get some recordings of him playing with me and my bassist uncle I think my entire life’s work would be accomplished (sorry mom, but cello doesn’t really work in bluegrass, but we can figure something out)
For those who actually care, my “life’s work” is making sure music defines my family, because if I’m the only one who does anything significant with music, that’d be a waste of my mom’s, uncle’s, and grandpa’s talents that they’ve developed for years, and I can’t let that happen
