Throwback to last year, when I was on a Lord's tour and came across this wall which had the pictures of @therealkapildev, @BishanBedi & Dilip Vengsarkar. Have some trivia about 3 images, which I will share in the thread below.. (1/n)

All the 3 cricketers were asked to come in their India Test Whites, meaning wearing the jersey, the sweater and the white sports shoes. However, as it can be seen, both Mr Kapil & Mr Vengsarkar didn't follow that and their portrait are in black shoes. (2/n)

On the other hand, Mr Bedi, didn't wear the India sweater and hence was given an MCC sweater by the authorities for the portrait. The stadium that is showcased in the background is the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. (3/n)

If you look at Mr Vengsarkar's potriat, you'll observe two things, one that is, that it is shown to be a gloomy day as opposed to a Sunny Day in other two portraits. The other, the bail of the stump is shown to be fallen indicating he has been dismissed. (4/n)

As per the Guide of this Lord's museum tour, this happened because there was a tiff between Mr Vengsarkar & the person making the portrait. And he took his frustration out by purposely showing him to be dismissed, and the day to be a gloomy one. (5/5)
