i wont be happy with the nhl until they actually do something, here are some ideas

1. fund youth hockey teams in low income areas and neighborhoods. Hockey is an expensive sport, and lots of kids who are very talented are often unable to continue because of costs. due to systemic racism, this directly affects black and hispanic youth,

2. better education on the subject. everyone involved should be aware of the struggles minorities face. It should not be those BIPOC and minorities' responsibilities to educate them, and on the professional level, everyone needs to be aware.

3. not tolerating racism and bigotry. people shouldnt feel comfortable speaking on there intolerant beliefs in hockey. players should be held accountable and i wish the nhl would at least say "if you are uncomfortable with us fighting for black lives we dont want your support"

racists should not feel comfortable, and i dont know why thats not already the case but maybe its because the nhl is run by racists??

4. STOP THE PERFORMATIVE ACTIVISM. DO SOMETHING.

please feel free to let me know your thoughts on this.. i dont intend to speak over black voices and want to remind you to support and listen to black voices before me.
