Since it seems like Twitter likes me being transparent and vulnerable:

I& #39;m feeling extremely butt hurt about an event that& #39;s being promoted in our industry and I know it& #39;s wrong, but can& #39;t help myself

There is an event that& #39;s been organized for a good cause

There& #39;s an event for a good cause and I haven& #39;t been invited to speak, despite being an industry leader

Of those invited I& #39;ve given platforms to 8 of the speakers.

Not only am I not invited but both our top competitor and an asshat that left his customers to dry are speaking
Worst of all, these guys are expecting me to promote the event, because it& #39;s for a good cause

I did this already, emailing our entire list of 20k maid service owners and instead of a thank you I got attacked by the primary organizer for asking her sister not to spam our group
So now I have a serious conundrum. This event is to raise money for a sick child, but I& #39;m absolutely pissed with the behavior of the organizers.

I am absolutely taking this personally whether I should or not. It& #39;s how I am for better or for worse.
I can easily justify not promoting this or helping any further for pure business reasons but I thought writing out my true thoughts would help here (and it has)
