hey y’all there’s a lot going on rn and for those who aren’t aware lousiana and texas are about to be hit with a category 4 hurricane which will be way more severe than katrina and being described as “unsurvivable” so please keep everyone there in your thoughts

i also wanted to add there are a lot of low income areas in the path of this storm and a lot of these areas still haven’t recovered from katrina after 15 years as well as recovering from harvey, if y’all are able to i strongly suggest donating after this

i don’t know if there are any current hurricane relief funds for that area or if after there will be ones specific for the area so let me know if you know any current ones !!!

last i heard it’s at 150 mph and is very close to hitting landfall (155+ is a category 5) and storm surges are predicted to be at max 10-20 ft

also the reason why i’m making this thread is bc while our home in florida received little damage from katrina i still very vividly remember that experience when i was 4 years old and how scared i was so my heart breaks just thinking abt how severe this is going to be
