Hate to be the one who says this, but this year does not improve. And 2021 is not looking good either, loves.

Figure out your self-care plans, your community care plans, your mental health care plans.
But if we’re honest with ourselves and each other, 2020 didn’t start us on this course. 2016 didn’t either. And I wouldn’t call it a decline, but an inability to ignore how deeply and broadly this nation as we know it is not sustainable. It’s made more clear daily.
This is America’s reckoning hour. Socially, economically, environmentally. We’re in it. This is the moment. And the coming election will be a strategy point, not a victory. We will not have overcome by unseating Trump.
Trump is despicable but he is one of this nation’s truest sons. He, too, is America. Very much so. I see America all up and through that man. And so it’s the America we’ve known that must go.
We have so much labor ahead, many fights at all levels, struggle. And we all have parts to play. In the streets. At the polls. In these Twitter streets. In our personal networks. At work. In our families. We’re all necessary. We’re all we have.

And I believe we win.
