Today at 4pm, @PoderinAction, @blmphxmetro, & the families of Muhammad Muhaymin, Francisco Valdez, Ryan Whitaker, Alejandro Hernandez, Dion Humphrey, & James Garcia are rallying outside city council chambers to demand transparency and accountability from Phoenix police
They're demanding Mayor Gallego & Chief Williams:
— Fire the officers involved in the violence against their families
— Release use of force, incident reports, & video footage to the families within 72 hrs
— Release video/documents to families 48 hrs before releasing it publicly

Muhammad Muhaymin was killed by Phoenix police in 2017 after he tried to enter a restroom at a community center with his service dog. Four cops held him down & knelt on him while he repeatedly stated "I can't breathe." Ryan Whitaker was playing Crash Bandicoot w his girlfriend when cops knocked on the door responding to a noise complaint. He opened the door holding a gun, but put his hands up & got on his knees when he saw cops. In 2017, Lorenza Valdez called the police seeking help for her son, who struggled w drug addiction and mental health issues. Anna Hernandez also called the police for help when her brother, Alejandro, was high and behaving erratically. Police sent 19yo Dion Humphrey to the hospital earlier this year when they mistook him for his brother.
