Like, the NHL doesn’t have to be a hub of activism. That would be great, but they don’t have to. But honestly, “we don’t care” would be better than the “wow it sucks that happened, hope it works out, you got this” attitude that it tends to take when it comes to social injustice.

The black community could use an escape from the disadvantages that overt and systemic racism hands to them. They can’t just flip to their TV, though.
