Trigger warnings for bugs, parasites, mold, horrific tenant abuse by a "landlord" (more like a slumlord)

The past couple weeks have been a nightmare. I'm attempting to find a new place to live after coming down with mysterious symptoms that resembled bronchitis, a swollen head,

and feeling as if things were crawling inside me. This was also happening to my boyfriend. He is disabled due to epilepsy. We had begun to feel intense pressure in our heads, and worried we would have brain damage, and then found evidence of multiple parasites.

I watched one, possibly a type of worm, or larvae, attempt to burrow up from beneath his scalp. Then we found worms in our feces. And started seeing black and green tinges to our skin, as if mold was seeping through our pores. This has been the stuff of nightmares.

4 visits to the ER, 4 meds and creams, and 2 different types of shampoo later, and we're still sick. So next we are going for follow up appointments and will hopefully get some answers. Not one doc so far has been helpful. They seem to resent us going in as if its not emergent.

So at this point, we have a collection of photos and video and specimens that we hope either we or the doctor can identify, perhaps mites? Bot flies? Bed bugs? Chiggers? They're not licr, at least not any type I've seen before. Also I've seen two different worm species.

This morning, after attempting to contact the landlord a couple times, maintenance came to take a look at the room and after looking at a couple things, declared it "fine", and said if there were mold he would smell it. I personally find this to be a type of gaslighting.

So we are trying to get an attorney involved. Its a lot to handle. Our rent money ended up going to buy a couple t-shirts and socks and food and things that were destroyed by mold and bugs. I wish I knew more about landlord/tenant law in Nebraska.

Anyway, so I shaved my head because my hair was falling out.

We HAVE TO GET OUT of this hellhole so I can breathe, and get the fucking bugs out of our bodies and heads. Please, if you can spare a dime, we are trying for a motel with clean sheets and a shower.
