Jujutsu Kaisen thread!

After chapter 118 came out, there are tons of chef Sukuna theories floating around, so I thought it would be fun to do a quick summary and go through some of the things that might have been lost in translation
So what prompted all the Sukuna's-power-is-related-to-cooking theories? At the end of the chapter, as Sukuna expands his domain, the aori (on-panel text written by the editor that only appears in the chapters published in the mag) reads: "The Kitchen of Certain Death Appears!!"
Now, Sukuna's Domain Expansion is called 伏魔御廚子 (Fukuma Mizushi), translated as Malevolent Shrine. A 'zushi' is a miniature Buddhist feretory; 'mi' is a honorific prefix. But the name might also be a reference to the Mizushidokoro, the Imperial Kitchen that served the emperor
We've seen Sukuna chop and dice things multiple times. The technique is called 解 (Kai), translated as Dismantle. It could also be for 解体 (Kaitai), a term for slaughtering and butchering meat
Now let's go all the way back to the Cursed Womb arc. The specific phrase Sukuna uses here, after slicing the Special Grade with his technique, is 三枚おろし, a culinary term for filleting a fish into three pieces
In chapter 115, Sukuna summoned flames, to Jogo's shock. It's possible that humans would know about his technique if there are historical records of him burning down kitchens, but cursed spirits wouldn't since cooking is pretty much an alien concept to them
Right before going into battle with Mahoraga/Makora, Sukuna goes “Let’s start with a little taste”. For the curious, the term used is 味見 (Ajimi), so he might see this fight as a literal taste test
Interestingly enough, cooking comparisons were first brought up in chapter 49!
And that’s all at the moment! I want to conclude this thread by pointing out that it's entirely possible that Sukuna is a chef extraordinaire whose speciality is making sun-dried fingers, and Yuji just doesn't know how to appreciate food with a little bit of history
