Butterflies throughout XX era: A species thread.

Why am I making this thread if it's probably not very useful??

Well, I think it might be interesting for some to know the species that made it into the whole aesthetic

The list of butterflies in X1X was provided by OddHead3 on the Loona reddit but I added a few modifications.

Let's begin!

# teaser (# era in all technicality but I still pull it in):

-Blue morpho. It's the butterfly the girls carry on the album photoshoot as well.

-This one is not so visible but due to the shape, the dark colors and the lack of patterns... Could be a pipevine swallowtail.

It's a Swallowtail for sure but the species is not so definable for me.

-Male common green birdwing.

I specify male as female birdwings are totally different. Females are brown and have different patterns and wing sizes.

DYK?: Birdwing butterflies are the biggest butterflies in the world, this record is set by Queen Alexandria Birdwings.

Little intervention. For the butterflies in XIIX and XIIIX I will only mention their appearences.

They appear in X1X as well and I want to go on about them in more detail there.

XIIIX:

-Appears three times.

XIIX:

-The ones coming out from Go Won's hands. They appear in fast flashes so they are pretty hard to catch even at the slowest speed.

X1X:

There's a total of 13 butterflies in the teaser.

-1 gets repeated on the teaser.
-2 appear in other teasers.

1: Ulysses Swallowtail

2: Old World/Common Yellow Swallowtail

Seems to be the wing underside.

3: Agrias Beatifica Beata

It's very hard to tell tho but it's an agrias for sure.

4: Two tailed tiger swallowtail

5: Pearl bordered fritillary

6: Common Buckeye

7: Anise Swallowtail

It's very similar to number 2, however, the blacks and blues seem to be more prominent in this second species.

8: Colias

It's in the Colias family but I can't exactly put my eye on which exact one, I think it's a Colias Aurorina.

9: Viceroy Butterfly

10: Monarch Butterfly

11: Peacock Butterfly

12: Apollo/Mountain Apollo

The butterfly on Kim Lip's back is still kind of a mystery.

It looks similar to number 7, but it also looks like a palamedes or a black swallowtail. Many swallowtails look similar so it's kind of hard to tell.

The reason why I believe this thread is not that useful is because they look just like aesthetics. However, it's true it seems like some of them have associations with members (Olivia and Go Won mainly). The eyes in number 6 are blue so it could be associated to Jinsoul+

And the eyes in the bottom of swallowtail butterflies are red, so it could make sense to have number 7 connect to Kim Lip.

However, could be just awsthetics.
