another struggle this movie has is there is no... cinematography... whatsoever.... it feels so mindnumbing... they just jump from scene to scene to scene... not enough pretty landscape droneshots... nothing... no flavour

first of all- muslims should NEVER EVER be depicted as terrorists. which this shitshow desplays a gross amount of. but ON TOP OF THAT they depict the white muslims as these rich folk who live in mansion-esque buildings and drive 17 different kids of all-expensive cars -

- while POC muslims live in tattered buildings, surrounded by dirt and sand, wearing shabby clothes, just visibly dirty. its not just this movie being borderline islamophobic, its also extremely racist- but yknow. lowkey racism. so you can still pretend it isnt TECHNICALLY there.

i am not fucking kidding u when i say there is a WHOLE SCENE where DOB’s charac. aims a gun at a white man, about to let him live, till he hallucinates that white VILLIAN! to be a brown/arab villian; then- anD ONLY THEN does he immediately shoot. mitch only hesitates @ the white-

guy. which u could argue- SURE! that moc directly affected mitch which would give him reason to target him! BUT NO. mitch was HELLBENT on killing the white guy aswell. since the start. but he suddenly hesitated. despite it ALSO being a character motive. do w that what u will.

beyond this movie being problematic the plot geniunely makes no sense

man i really wish i was watching harry potter and the prisoner of azkaban instead of this

THOUGHTS; really problematic really ugly i cannot find a single redeeming quality about this movie except maybe those dogs that appeared for a minute...

the plot itself despite being super islamophobic is so weird and Wrong?

the WHOLE PREMISE of the movie right was that mitch wanted revenge for some terrorists that killed his gf.. while they were at the beach.. a terrorist attack randomly on a beach.. seems like straight out of a random sad backstory trope generator

and then he trained... to... become? a terrorist? but got busted by CIA? so he joined the cia.. to kill terrorists? its really floppy its the single most unintresting thing ive ever watched- even the ACTION HEIST scenes didnt do it for me.. and im a sucker for that shit

it goes without saying that muslims arent terrorists. arab muslims arent speaking about “ wanting to feel the blood of non-muslims dripping from their hands”. its all a big two hour islamophobic propaganda made to excuse peoples hatred of muslims. which is never okay. feel sick,,

and i dont know what to think about DOB after this he was the MAAAIN character bro he knew what he signed up for front and centre. flop ass. if this ruins stiles stilinski or TMR thomas for me i will hunt him down! end of thread!
