I made this spreadsheet with all the clubs with defenders for 4.0, 4.5 or 5.0 to be able to look at which ones rotates the best.
The colours show how good/bad the fixture is from a defensive perspective
= Easy
= Medium
= Hard

ASTON VILLA + LEICESTER
Matt Targett (4.5) + James Justin (4.5)
With probably the best fixture rotating combo, AVL and LEI play just one tricky team (WOL) in the first 16 GWs if you rotate them. Not only that, but you get 11 out of 16 home games. A brilliant run of fixtures.

BRIGHTON + SOUTHAMPTON
Lamptey/Ryan (4.5) + KWP/McCarthy (4.5)
If you are one of those who like rotating GKs, these 2 should be obvious for you. GW10 is the only GW when both has a hard fixture. Maybe not optimal to double up though with DEFs if you already own Ryan/McCarthy.

BURNLEY + NEWCASTLE
Charlie Taylor (4.5) + Jamaal Lascelles (4.5)
Newcastle looks to be the team that rotated the best with this strong defensive Burnley side. Maybe not the fanciest of rotating pairs but only playing 1 “traditional top 6 team” (TOT) is fantastic!

Matt Targett (4.5) + Ruben Vinagre (4.5)
Besides having to play either Chelsea or Man Utd in GW16 this fixture run also looks brilliant. Wolves have some astonishing fixtures at the start and I could see myself going with this one to start the season...

CRYSTAL PALACE + WOLVES
Tyrick Mitchell (4.0) + Ruben Vinagre (4.5)
Last but not least we have Wolves again but this time rotating with Palace. The Ferguson (4.0) dream looks to be over before it could begin but hopefully a player like Mitchell could turn out to be a gem.
