In a year of absolute destruction, sports is self destructing.

Jacob Blake’s shooting was tragic. Was it unjustified? Was it racially motivated? I don’t know. We know so few details & have so little evidence. What threats were made? Was he reaching for a gun? We don’t know. But it seems athletes & many media members are certain.

They are certain that not only was it an unjustified shooting, not only was it racially motivated, but that it is indicative of an irredeemably racist country.

That certainty has led some to destroy businesses and cities. It’s leading the sports world to self destruct.
