As a former resident and journalist at the @Kenosha_News,
I'm sickened by what's happening in Kenosha.

Acts of racist violence can happen anywhere.

But what I feared most is coming true: local government's incompetency is making a dangerous situation much worse.
Example of Kenosha political incompetence:

When the mayor tried to hold a press conference outside but moved it indoors because of presence of protesters, helping to spark tense confrontation between police and activists. https://twitter.com/AJBayatpour/status/1297982608870199297
More incompetence:

After doing little to deter vigilantes, Kenosha police appears to be blaming murder victims for being out past curfew.

Aren't city officials supposed to be trying to bridge gaps and stem violence? How does this help? https://twitter.com/GidTruth/status/1298697049551011840?s=20
Voting matters. Voting and being engaged in local elections matters. Black Lives Matter.
